Today, the City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) and Office of Emergency Management and Communication (OEMC) introduced an emergency alert program specifically for Chicago’s businesses called CHIBIZ Alerts.
Local business owners and managers should text “CHIBIZ” to 67283 or visit the CHIBIZ Alerts link above to opt-in.

Swedish Hospital has expanded COVID-19 testing for patients who meet the CDC and IDPH criteria. To determine if you need a COVID-19 test, call Swedish Hospital’s free COVID-19 Help Line 773-907-7700 or begin screening online.
Your results will be evaluated by a Swedish Hospital clinical expert, who may recommend testing in our convenient drive-through tent. APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR TESTING. Learn more at SwedishCovenant.org/tent.
Testing at Swedish Hospital will come at no cost to patients. Uninsured will be offered free testing and follow up care will be managed through the hospital’s financial assistance and charity program. Those who are insured will not be responsible for any out-of-pocket costs related to being tested for COVID-19.
Heartland Health Centers is now offering FREE COVID-19 Testing for those that are uninsured regardless of immigration status.
Anyone can receive FREE TeleHealth appointments (phone or video). During this call a physician will recommend testing if necessary. Tests will be scheduled at Heartlands at 1300 W. Devon location. Follow-up appointments will be done by TeleHealth or in-person at the clinic nearest the client, if necessary.

FOOD ASSISTANCE
Students who qualify for free or reduced meals at school, regardless of status, are now eligible for the Illinois Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program.
If a family has a LINK card, these benefits will automatically be applied to their account; no need to call or apply. If a family does not have a LINK card, they can apply for this special program.
This benefit is available regardless of immigration status and is not considered in the public charge test.
CPS will provide students with healthy meals. CPS families can pick up free food boxes at any CPS school that will contain three days of breakfast and lunch for every student in the household.
